Full structural design packages in line with current Building Regulations and British Standards — foundation systems, superstructure frameworks, lateral stability provisions and load path optimisation. Geotechnical data, material specifications and analysis are brought together so the design is compliant, cost-efficient and built to last.
Assessment, design and certification of changes to load-bearing and non-load-bearing elements. We survey the structure and calculate load redistribution, member sizing and stability retention against the Approved Documents — wall removals, beam and column insertions, floor strengthening and underpinning, with connection details and installation sequencing.
Designed to comply with Part A (Structure) and Part B (Fire Safety) alongside thermal and acoustic requirements. We assess the existing roof for capacity, specify new steel or timber members, and detail ridge, purlin and joist reinforcement — including dormers, roof openings and staircase installations.
Rear and side extensions designed to the relevant British Standards and local planning constraints: foundations (strip, raft or pile), wall and roof load calculations, lateral stability, and steelwork or engineered timber specification. We address differential settlement, thermal bridging and the interface with the existing fabric.

If you are removing or altering anything that carries load — a wall, a chimney breast, a roof member — Building Control will ask for calculations from a qualified engineer before they sign the work off. It is usually cheaper to have them done before the builder starts than to correct assumptions afterwards.
Most domestic packages are issued three to five working days after the scope is agreed and drawings are received. If you are up against a Building Control or start-on-site date, say so in your enquiry — urgent work can often be turned around sooner.
Architectural drawings if you have them, or clear photographs and rough dimensions if you don't. Tell us what is being removed or added, roughly when the work starts, and whether Building Control has already been approached.
Yes. Once a design is issued we will talk your builder through connection details, substitutions, or a site condition that differs from the drawing. Ask at enquiry stage and we will set out exactly what the fee covers.
